As we embark on another exciting academic year, we are thrilled to welcome back our amazing students, dedicated parents, and exceptional teachers to Rosenwald Elementary School. We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating summer break, filled with memorable moments and quality time with loved ones.

 

At Rosenwald, we are committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student can thrive. This year, we are excited to introduce several key initiatives aimed at enriching our students’ educational experience and supporting their growth and development.

 

• STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Initiative:

Our STEAM program is designed to inspire curiosity and creativity in our students. Through hands-on activities and interdisciplinary projects, we aim to equip our students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential for success in the 21st century. We encourage all students to engage actively in STEAM activities and explore the fascinating world of science and technology.

 

• Ignite Fellows Program:

We are proud to continue our partnership with the Ignite Fellows program, which brings talented and passionate educators into our classrooms. These fellows will work alongside our teachers to provide additional support, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities for our students. Together, we will ignite a passion for learning and help our students achieve their full potential.

 

• Reading Contests:

To foster a love for reading and improve literacy skills, we will be hosting a series of reading contests throughout the year. These contests are designed to motivate students to explore new books, expand their vocabulary, and enhance their comprehension skills. We encourage all students to participate and discover the joy of reading.

 

• Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS):

Our PBIS initiative is focused on promoting positive behavior and creating a respectful and supportive school culture. Through consistent reinforcement of positive behaviors, recognition of student achievements, and proactive interventions, we aim to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for all. We appreciate the cooperation of parents and teachers in reinforcing these values at home and in the classroom.
